I felt God calling me to work with people in difficult situations, but I didn't have a degree in counseling. How could God use me?

When Lapeer Pregnancy & Family Care Center offered a training class, I knew God was leading me to serve Him as a volunteer peer counselor. God has given me a heart for those who are hurting, and as I listen to their pain, I know there's help for them if they will only turn to God for strength and comfort.

God prepares us for what He wants us to do. Its been wonderful to see how God has solved problems in difficult situations. As I've asked for His help, I've trusted God to give me the right words to share with each client, and the results have been very rewarding. Some have accepted Christ as their personal Savior, and God has shown me that He qualifies those He calls.
